Presenting at ISTE 2025: Live Translation & Digital Tools for Inclusion

I just got back from ISTE 2025 in San Antonio, and it’s hard to put into words how full my heart feels. On Monday morning, I had the opportunity to present Live Translation & Digital Tools for the Inclusion of Multilingual Learners—an interactive session built from the work we’ve been doing across 60+ NYC Public Schools and beyond.

We kicked off with a packed room and an energy that was instantly electric. Educators from all over the country leaned in as we walked through real-life scenarios—family conferences, classroom lessons, school-wide events—and explored how everyday tools like Microsoft Translator’s Converse Mode can change the game for newcomer students and their families.

What made the session meaningful wasn’t just the tech. It was the moment of recognition on people’s faces—“We already have these tools… we just needed to be shown how to use them.” That’s been the heart of our work at Made Manifest: showing educators how to use what’s already at their fingertips to foster inclusion, build trust, and make every student feel seen and supported.

We also previewed our new Live Translation & Digital Toolbox, which officially launches July 15. It includes training videos, step-by-step guides, and coaching to help school staff put translation into action—without needing a full PD day. Attendees who joined us at ISTE received early access and a special rate, and I’m so excited to keep this momentum going.
